The U.S. currently does not have a certification for backyard composting. Did You Know? conventional plastic cup pods must “rest” in open air before sealing. Resting means going stale, as the beans naturally degas after roasting and again after grinding. Without “resting” the lids of hard plastic cup pods would pop off due to the gas pressure buildup.
GreenPods come individually wrapped in an air tight pouch flushed with nitrogen to remove all of the oxygen. GreenPod coffee does NOT need to rest and stale before sealing. It can naturally degas in its pouch. So GreenPods are ground and sealed IMMEDIATELY giving you the freshest coffee possible in pod form.
